Lesotho is a small landlocked country magically placed in the middle of South Africa. The country’s rugged landscape is without doubt one of the most spectacular in the region. With the entire country being more than 1000 metres above sea level, Lesotho is rightfully the ‘Kingdom in the Sky’. Lesotho offers bewitching mountain scenery, endless hiking trails and a chance to experience the friendliness of the local Basotho people.
While on a Lesotho holiday, you can tour the country’s two national parks; Tsehlanyane and Sehlabathebe or explore the capital Maseru, where a slow pace and welcoming residents ensure a memorable stay.
Tsehlanyane National Park, one of Lesotho’s two national parks, is home to a wide range of wildlife – some of which are considered to be the most endangered species in Lesotho. They include the African elephant, lion, sclater’s golden mole and the spotted-necked otter.
