Entabeni Guest House – Camps Bay

27 10 2009

Entabeni Guest HouseNot to long ago Entabeni offered Jenman Safaris a ‘night stay’ at their luxurious guest house located in Camps Bay, Cape Town. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to stay at the Entabeni Guest House on the Saturday night with my boyfriend. The weather was fantastic that Saturday… typical Cape Town summer weather! I had only seen pictures of Entabeni on our capetownsafaris.com website and was very excited to see it in person, and of course stay there.

Entabeni Guest house is located at the top of Fiskaal road overlooking the sea… With an exceptional location, comforting hospitality and scrumptious meals, Entabeni Guest House is the place to stay! We checked in around 2pm the Saturday afternoon and were immediately welcomed and taken to the “English Room” where we would be staying. Entabeni has 4 rooms, each with a different theme and charm. The English Room was crisp, neat and homely… with 2 sundeck chairs on the balcony overlooking the ocean… we felt like we were staying in our own little house. The room was equipped with a bar fridge, tea and coffee, a fan, TV (with satellite), heated towel rails and all the extras that come with been awarded a 4star status with the Tourism Grading Council.

We spent the afternoon relaxing by their pool – tanning and swimming. The pool is very deep and crystal clear… it was fantastic to relax after a busy week on one comfortable sun chairs while reading the latest gossip in my magazine! :)

Entabeni ViewLater that evening we went through to the Camps Bay beach road and wined and dined at one of the restaurants there (of course with sundowners). After a delicious meal we went back to Entabeni were we watched some TV and chilled for the rest of the evening. We had organized to have breakfast at 8am the next morning… so you can imagine we were up very early and eagerly awaiting some nice-smelling breakfast. We were in for a treat! We both had fresh fruit and yogurt and a warm breakfast consisting of bacon, eggs, toast, tomato and sausage! There were 2 other couples staying there (from the UK), so we spent the morning chatting to them and telling them the best places to go and where to eat and what to do in Cape Town… The one couple (Mike and Terri) even took one of our brochures (Jenman Safaris) to look at for there next trip to SA… for a safari!

After that lovely time we made our way home – which was only a 30minute drive away!! But, the best part of it was that we were rested and felt like we had gone away for a holiday far far away!

Thank you to Entabeni Guest house for your awesome hospitality – we had a great time and have spread the word to all of our friends and family…

Hey there Lisa & Garth, cool that you both enjoyed yourselves, that’s what it’s all about! The closest I’ve got to staying in a guest house in Camps Bay is by standing on the beach, looking up at the beautiful houses and dreaming …
