Jenman SafarisOnly when my plane was about to touch down in Frankfurt did I finally realise that my time in South Africa was over…  Since then it has been two weeks… I’ve almost settled down in Germany again (even if I still walk on the “wrong”, left side of the pavement). The first few days were quite exciting – it was great to see my family and my friends and I continued doing what I did on my last days in Cape Town

Winner is travelling with Jenman Safaris to Africa

Jenman African Safaris WinnerTo plan a journey could be to win another journey for the entire family! Unbeknown to Sabine Kaufmann this is exactly what would happen to her. Sabine and her folks were busy making their way over 350km from Neustrelitz in Northern Germany to visit some friends. Next stop for Sabine, her family and her friends was a travel fair in Dresden in south-eastern Germany. At this moment Sabine had no clue that she’s going be a great winner by the end of the day.

The host of the annually held travel show in Dresden is “Schulz Aktiv Reisen” which is also one of the German business partners of Jenman African Safaris.

When I close my eyes, I know immediately what it looks like, smells like and how it tastes – my very own Africa. Due to the enormous versatility of this tour, it was the perfect trip to Africa to experience the first time and find out what landscapes, climates, people and animals like one at best.

Fascinating were all the facets of the country along our route, I have not been concluded once the eyes during car trips, for fear of missing a wonderful change of scenery, human biodiversity and Animal varieties.

The electricity at Harare International Airport is at half-phase. The flight from Johannesburg was only about a third full with mostly Zimbabwean passengers, their carry-on luggage bulging shopping bags from the rich shelves of the Republic.

Jenny Nobes is there to pick me up. She has invited me on a tour through the north of ZimbabweMatusadona, Chizarira and Hwange national parks. I am curious, not only to see these parks but also as to how we’re going to manage the trip.

How would medical emergencies be handled? In the case of an emergency – would there be a helicopter?
Would I be evacuated out of there as I don’t think that Zimbabwean hospitals would be great…? For emergencies and evacuations we recommend that our clients use MARS (Medical air rescue services)…
